With spring beginning, new construction starts up throughout the City. On the west side of Vinton, in the Westridge subdivision, two new houses have begun construction across from each other. We're not sure which house will finish first, but this is a pleasant change from last year's new construction. There were only a couple of new houses built last year mainly a result of the recent economic downturn. Previously, Vinton had enjoyed several years of double-digit housing starts. We see this as just the beginning of a busy year for the City.
